The Beauty of Scars

The scars on Jesus’s hands and feet did not fade while He was resurrected.

In fact, they will remain on Him for eternity!

Have you ever (like me) wondered why?

Scars aren’t very beautiful!

…or are they?

In heaven, won’t those scars be the most beautiful thing we see?

Perhaps, but why?

Because they articulate and display the very glory of God’s unstoppable love and power to redeem - death transformed into fullness of life.

So what about OUR scars then? Could they ever be beautiful too?

Jesus still has a 'body' here on earth - us. And like Him, we too can show our scars to a doubtful world and share the testimony our redemption in Christ and His saving love for us.

...I once was lost, and now I'm found, was blind but now I see....

Friends, never be ashamed of your scars - they only exemplify Christ's power to redeem and transform what once was lost. Those scars can echo love and hope in God to a world that is groaning to know it.

And so, let’s shine - scars and all. Each one contains a story of His goodness and transformation!

And if any of them don’t yet, then look upon the scars of Jesus and remember this…

They will.
